  • 2 lbs (about 900 g) potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • 4 tbsp butter

3️⃣ Add Creaminess

  • Gradually add milk or cream until desired texture is reached.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

4️⃣ Optional Add-ins

  • Garlic (roasted or boiled with potatoes)
  • Sour cream or cream cheese for extra richness
  • Chives, parsley, or grated cheese for garnish

  • Don’t overmix: Overworking potatoes can make them gluey.
  • Warm ingredients: Use warm milk and butter to keep potatoes fluffy.
  • Texture: Yukon Gold for creamy, Russet for light and fluffy.
