Instructions

    • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork (if using), breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the Meatloaf:
    • On a parchment-lined baking pan or loaf pan, shape half of the meat mixture into a loaf.
  4. Add Cheese & Bacon:
    • Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the meatloaf base.
    • Layer partially cooked bacon on top of the cheese.
    • Cover with remaining meat mixture, sealing edges gently.
  5. Optional Glaze:
    • Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Brush over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake:
    • 50–60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
    • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve:
    • Slice thick and serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.
