Strawberry Cobbler is a classic dessert made with sweet baked strawberries topped with a soft biscuit-like or cake-like crust. It’s simple, rustic, and delicious—especially when strawberries are in season. 🍓🥧

Easy Strawberry Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients

For the filling

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced)
  • ½–¾ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

For the topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. Prepare strawberries: In a bowl mix strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Pour into a greased baking dish.
  3. Make topping: In another bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
  4. Assemble: Spoon or pour the batter over the strawberries (don’t worry if some fruit shows).
  5. Bake: 35–40 minutes until the top is golden and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Cool slightly before serving.

Serving Ideas

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream 🍨
  • Add whipped cream
  • Sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top
