Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 Pork chops, bone-in or boneless
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • Β½ cup Apple cider or Apple juice
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Β½ tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme or Rosemary
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening sauce)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pork Chops

  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Optional: Sear chops in a pan for 2–3 minutes per side for extra flavor.

2. Assemble in Slow Cooker

  1. Place sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom.
  2. Put pork chops on top.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and apple cider/juice.
  4. Sprinkle thyme or rosemary over the top.

3. Cook

  • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours until pork is tender.

4. Optional: Thicken Sauce

  • Remove pork chops and set aside.
  • Stir in cornstarch slurry into sauce and cook on high for 5–10 minutes until thickened.

5. Serve

  • Serve pork chops with sauce, alongside:
    • Mashed potatoes
    • Steamed vegetables
    • Rice

Tips

  • Use bone-in chops for more flavor.
  • Add sliced apples or mushrooms for a sweet-savory twist.
  • Leftovers reheat well and can be shredded for sandwiches.
