Here’s a simple, versatile Slow Cooker Chicken recipe — tender, juicy, and easy to customize 🍗

🍗 Slow Cooker Chicken

(Serves 4–6)

Ingredients

  • 4–6 bone-in, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or rosemary)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1 cup chopped carrots, celery, or potatoes

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Chicken

  1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Optional: Sear chicken in a skillet for 2–3 minutes per side for extra flavor.

2️⃣ Assemble in Slow Cooker

  1. Place onions, garlic, and optional vegetables at the bottom.
  2. Lay chicken on top.
  3. Pour chicken broth over everything and sprinkle thyme.

3️⃣ Cook

  • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).

4️⃣ Serve

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, or vegetables.
  • Optional: use cooking juices as a natural gravy.

💡 Tips

  • For a creamier version, add ½ cup cream or coconut milk in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Add herbs like parsley, oregano, or basil for extra flavor.
  • Chicken can also be shredded after cooking for sandwiches, tacos, or casseroles.

If you want, I can also give a Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken version that’s sticky, sweet, and perfect for serving over rice.
