🐟 Salmon Patties

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 can (400–450g) salmon (drained, bones removed if desired)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or yogurt)
  • 1/4 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 1–2 tablespoons fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Oil for frying

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Mixture

  • In a bowl, combine:
    • Salmon (flaked)
    • Breadcrumbs
    • Egg
    • Mayo
    • Onion, parsley
    • Lemon juice & spices
  • Mix until everything holds together

2️⃣ Shape Patties

  • Form into small round patties (about palm-sized)
  • If mixture is too soft, add more breadcrumbs

3️⃣ Cook

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat
  • Fry patties for 3–4 minutes per side until:
    • Golden brown
    • Crispy outside

🍽️ Serving Ideas

  • With lemon wedges and dipping sauce
  • In a burger bun like a fish burger
  • Alongside salad or rice

  • Chill patties for 15–20 minutes before frying to keep shape
  • Add a pinch of chili flakes for spice
  • You can also bake at 200°C (400°F) for 15–20 minutes instead of frying
