NEVER EAT THIS BEFORE GOING TO BED

That line is usually clickbait. There’s no single “forbidden food,” but there are foods and drinks you should avoid before bed because they can disturb sleep or digestion.

🚫 Never (or try not to) eat these right before sleeping:

☕ 1. Caffeine foods & drinks

Coffee, tea, cola, chocolate
➡️ Keeps your brain alert and delays sleep.


🍔 2. Heavy or fried meals

Fast food, pizza, burgers, fries
➡️ Slow digestion → bloating, discomfort, poor sleep quality.


🌶️ 3. Spicy foods

Chili, spicy curry, hot sauces
➡️ Can cause heartburn and raise body temperature.


🍬 4. Sugary snacks

Candy, cakes, soda, desserts
➡️ Blood sugar spikes → then crashes → may wake you up at night.


🍷 5. Alcohol

➡️ Makes you sleepy at first, but disrupts deep sleep and REM sleep.


🥤 6. Too many fluids

Large amounts of water, tea, milk
➡️ Causes nighttime bathroom trips.


🧠 Simple rule

Eat your last big meal 2–3 hours before bed, and keep anything late-night light.


🌙 Better bedtime snacks (if needed)

  • Banana
  • A few almonds
  • Yogurt
  • Warm milk (if it suits you)
