Grilled cheese sandwich

A grilled cheese sandwich is a simple, crispy, melty sandwich made by toasting bread with cheese inside.

Basic recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread
  • Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or any melting cheese)
  • Butter (or oil)

Steps:

  1. Heat a pan on low to medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place one slice in the pan, butter-side down.
  4. Add cheese on top (you can use one type or mix cheeses like cheddar + mozzarella).
  5. Cover with the second bread slice, butter-side up.
  6. Cook 2–4 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Flip carefully and cook the other side until the cheese melts and bread is crispy.
  8. Remove, slice, and serve hot.

Tips:

  • Low heat is key so the cheese melts before the bread burns.
  • Add extras like tomato, chicken, or herbs for more flavor.
  • A little garlic butter on the outside makes it even better.
