Deviled ham salad

Deviled Ham Salad is a creamy, savory spread made from finely chopped ham mixed with mayonnaise, mustard, and seasonings. It’s commonly used for sandwiches, crackers, or lettuce wraps.


Deviled Ham Salad Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked ham, finely chopped or ground
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard)
  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped celery
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ham
    Finely chop or pulse the ham in a food processor until it has a spreadable texture.
  2. Mix ingredients
    In a bowl, combine ham, mayonnaise, mustard, relish, celery, onion, lemon juice, and paprika.
  3. Season
    Add salt and black pepper to taste and mix well.
  4. Chill
    Cover and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  5. Serve
    • Spread on sandwiches
    • Serve with crackers
    • Use as a filling for lettuce wraps or deviled eggs.

Tips

  • Add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper for extra “deviled” flavor.
  • Mix in chopped hard-boiled eggs for a richer salad.
  • For a smoother spread, blend the mixture briefly in a food processor.
