Deviled Eggs

Posted on March 4, 2026 by Admin

Deviled eggs are a classic appetizer made by hard-boiling eggs, removing the yolks, mixing them with flavorful ingredients, and piping the mixture back into the egg whites. They’re creamy, tangy, and perfect for parties or holiday meals.

Ingredients (for 6 deviled eggs / 12 halves)

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar or lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Optional: chopped chives, pickles, or hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs:
    • Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water
    • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10–12 minutes
    • Transfer to ice water to cool
  2. Prepare the yolk filling:
    • Peel eggs and cut in half lengthwise
    • Remove yolks and place in a bowl
    • Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth
  3. Fill the whites:
    • Spoon or pipe yolk mixture back into egg white halves
  4. Garnish:
    • Sprinkle paprika on top
    • Add optional toppings like chopped chives, pickles, or a dash of hot sauce
  5. Serve:
    • Chill for 30–60 minutes for best flavor
    • Serve cold

Tips

  • Make ahead: Deviled eggs can be prepared a day in advance and stored covered in the fridge
  • Variations: Add avocado, bacon bits, smoked salmon, or curry powder for unique flavors
  • Presentation: Use a piping bag or zip-top bag with a corner cut for neat filling

Deviled eggs are easy, crowd-pleasing, and versatile, making them a staple at picnics, brunches, and holiday tables.

I can also give a recipe for spicy deviled eggs or a creamy avocado version if you want.

Do you want me to do that?
