Here’s a simple detox soup recipe that’s nourishing, light, and packed with ingredients that support natural detoxification in your body:


🥣 Simple Detox Soup Recipe (Vegan & Gluten-Free)

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated

  • 2 carrots, sliced

  • 2 celery stalks, chopped

  • 1 zucchini, chopped

  • 1 cup broccoli florets

  • 1 cup cauliflower florets

  • 2 cups chopped kale or spinach

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin (optional)

  • 4 cups vegetable broth or water

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh herbs: parsley or cilantro for garnish


🥄 Instructions:

  1. Sauté aromatics:
    In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until translucent. Stir in garlic and ginger, cook for another minute.

  2. Add veggies & spices:
    Add carrots, celery, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, turmeric, and cumin. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Add liquid & simmer:
    Pour in the broth or water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 15–20 minutes, until vegetables are tender.

  4. Add greens & lemon:
    Stir in kale/spinach and lemon juice. Simmer for another 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Blend (optional):
    For a creamy texture, blend half the soup with an immersion blender or in a regular blender. Leave some chunks if you prefer.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
