Crust:

  • 1½ cups crushed biscuits (digestive or graham crackers)
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar (optional)

Custard filling:

  • 250 g cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

1. Prepare the crust

  • Mix crushed biscuits, melted butter, and sugar
  • Press firmly into a lined baking tray (8×8 inch)
  • Chill in fridge for 10–15 minutes

2. Make the custard filling

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth
  • Add sugar, eggs, milk, cornflour, and vanilla
  • Mix until creamy and lump-free

3. Bake

  • Pour mixture over crust
  • Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 30–35 minutes
  • Center should be slightly wobbly but set

4. Cool & set

  • Let it cool completely
  • Refrigerate for 3–4 hours (best overnight)

5. Slice

  • Cut into neat bars or squares
  • Serve chilled
