🍩 Cinnamon Sugar Donut Muffins

Muffins
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg (optional, but very “donut shop”)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
- ½ cup melted butter
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1–2 tsp ground cinnamon
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients just until mixed (don’t overmix).
- Fill muffin cups about ¾ full.
- Bake 18–20 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool 5 minutes, then dip each muffin in melted butter.
- Roll in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
