Here’s a simple and delicious Cinnamon Sugar Bread recipe — soft, sweet, and perfect with coffee or tea!


🍞 Cinnamon Sugar Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Bread:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup milk (whole or 2% preferred)

  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)

  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

  3. Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together egg, milk, oil, and vanilla.

  4. Combine: Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined (don’t overmix).

  5. Make cinnamon sugar: In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar together.

  6. Assemble the bread:

    • Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.

    • Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.

    • Add the remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar.

    • Use a butter knife to gently swirl the cinnamon sugar into the batter (a few figure-8 motions).

  7. Bake: 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. Cool: Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.


🧈 Optional Add-Ons:

  • Add a cinnamon glaze: Mix ½ cup powdered sugar + 1 tbsp milk + ½ tsp cinnamon.

  • Stir in chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.
