Canned salmon patties

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for canned salmon patties 🐟🍽️


Ingredients (Makes 4–6 patties)

  • 1 can (14–15 oz) Canned Salmon, drained
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ cup Breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
  • 2 tbsp Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard or mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper
  • 2–3 tbsp Olive Oil or butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients
    • In a bowl, combine salmon, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, mustard, salt, and pepper.
    • Mix gently until it holds together.
  2. Form patties
    • Shape the mixture into 4–6 patties, about ¾ inch thick.
  3. Pan-fry
    • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve
    • Serve hot with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, or a simple salad.
    • Can also be served on buns like a salmon burger.

✅ Tips

  • For extra crispiness, coat patties lightly in flour before frying.
  • You can add 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning or garlic powder for more flavor.
  • Leftovers reheat well in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
