Banana bread

Banana Bread is a soft, moist baked bread made with ripe bananas. It’s easy to make and perfect for breakfast or a snack. 🍌🍞


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • ½ cup butter (melted) or oil
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt

Optional add-ins

  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions 👩‍🍳

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mash bananas in a large bowl.
  3. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the banana mixture.
  6. Stir until just mixed (do not overmix).
  7. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

💡 Tips for the best banana bread

  • Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for more sweetness.
  • Do not overmix the batter or the bread can become dense.
