Bacon and tomato sandwich

Posted on March 13, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic and delicious recipe for a Bacon and Tomato Sandwich—crispy, juicy, and simple to make.

🥪 Bacon and Tomato Sandwich

Ingredients (serves 1)

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 2–3 slices cooked bacon (crispy preferred)
  • 2–3 slices ripe tomato
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • 1–2 teaspoons mayonnaise, butter, or mustard (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon
    • Fry bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, or bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes on a lined tray.
    • Drain on paper towels.
  2. Prepare the bread
    • Toast slices lightly for extra crunch (optional).
    • Spread mayonnaise, butter, or mustard if desired.
  3. Assemble the sandwich
    • Layer lettuce (if using) on one slice of bread.
    • Add tomato slices and season lightly with salt and pepper.
    • Place the crispy bacon on top.
    • Cover with the second slice of bread.
  4. Serve
    • Cut diagonally and enjoy warm, with chips or a pickle if desired.

💡 Tips

  • For a juicier sandwich, use vine-ripened tomatoes.
  • Add avocado or cheese for extra flavor.
  • If you like, grill the whole sandwich in a panini press for a warm, melty version.

I can also give you a classic BLT twist recipe that elevates the bacon and tomato sandwich with a garlicky aioli and toasted artisan bread if you want.
