Crock Pot Pierogi

Crock Pot Pierogi is an easy, comforting dish where frozen pierogies cook slowly with creamy, cheesy ingredients until they’re soft and flavorful. It’s perfect for busy days or potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag (about 16 oz / 450 g) frozen potato-and-cheese pierogies
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup chopped onion (optional)
  • ½ cup cooked bacon pieces (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crock Pot
    Lightly grease the slow cooker or spray with cooking spray.
  2. Layer Ingredients
    Add frozen pierogies to the crock pot.
    Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and onion.
    Place cream cheese cubes and butter on top.
  3. Add Liquid
    Pour the chicken broth over everything.
  4. Cook
    • Cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or
    • HIGH for about 2 hours
      Stir gently once or twice if possible.
  5. Finish
    Stir in bacon pieces (if using).
    Taste and add salt and pepper.
  6. Serve
    Garnish with chopped green onions and extra cheese if desired.

Tips

  • Add smoked sausage slices for a heartier meal.
  • For extra creaminess, stir in ½ cup sour cream at the end.
  • Serve with a side salad or sautéed cabbage.
