Here’s a fresh and flavorful recipe for a California Avocado Burger, loaded with creamy avocado and classic toppings:


California Avocado Burger Recipe

Ingredients (for 2–4 burgers)

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken for lighter option)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced or mashed
  • 4 slices cheddar or pepper jack cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion slices (optional)
  • 2–4 tbsp mayonnaise or aioli
  • Optional: pickles, jalapeños, or bacon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the patties: Season ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.
  2. Cook the patties:
    • Grill, pan-fry, or broil for about 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until desired doneness.
    • Add cheese during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  3. Prepare buns: Toast buns lightly on a pan or grill.
  4. Assemble the burgers:
    • Spread mayonnaise or aioli on the bottom bun.
    • Layer lettuce, tomato, cooked patty with melted cheese, avocado slices, and onion.
    • Top with the bun crown.
  5. Serve immediately with fries, sweet potato fries, or a side salad.

💡 Tips:

  • Mash avocado with a little lime juice and salt for a creamy spread.
  • Add crispy bacon for a smoky flavor boost.
  • For extra freshness, sprinkle arugula or sprouts on top.
