Fried chicken is chicken that’s seasoned, coated (usually with flour or batter), and deep-fried until it becomes crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. πŸ—

Simple Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken pieces (legs, wings, or breast)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk (or water)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)
  • Oil for frying

Steps

  1. Season the chicken
    Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder. Rub it on the chicken.
  2. Prepare coating
    • In one bowl: mix egg and milk.
    • In another bowl: put flour.
  3. Coat the chicken
    • Dip chicken in the egg mixture.
    • Then roll it in flour until fully coated.
  4. Heat the oil
    Heat oil in a pan to medium-high.
  5. Fry
    Fry chicken for 10–15 minutes (depending on size) until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain
    Place on paper towels to remove extra oil.

Serve with

  • Garlic sauce or ketchup
