4 ingredient bread

Here’s a simple and foolproof 4‑Ingredient Bread recipe — no yeast, no kneading, just easy ingredients you probably already have:


🥖 Ingredients

  1. Self-rising flour – 2 cups
  2. Plain Greek yogurt (or plain yogurt) – 1 cup
  3. Eggs – 2
  4. Salt – ½ tsp (optional, if your flour isn’t pre-salted)

Optional: Add herbs, garlic powder, or seeds for extra flavor.


🥣 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Mix the Dough

  • In a large bowl, whisk the eggs lightly.
  • Add yogurt and stir until smooth.
  • Gradually mix in self-rising flour and salt until a sticky dough forms.

The dough will be slightly sticky; don’t overmix or it will get tough.

3️⃣ Shape & Bake

  • Transfer the dough to your loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Optional: Score the top lightly with a knife for a classic bread look.
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

4️⃣ Cool & Serve

  • Let the bread cool 10–15 minutes before slicing.
  • Enjoy plain, toasted, or with your favorite spread!

💡 Tips

  • Use Greek yogurt for a denser, moist bread; regular yogurt makes it slightly lighter.
  • For a crustier top, brush lightly with olive oil or butter before baking.
  • Can be made gluten-free by substituting self-rising flour with a gluten-free blend + 1 tsp baking powder.
