🥔 Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Creamy, buttery, and full of garlic flavor — a perfect side for roasts, chicken, or steak.
🛒 Ingredients
- 2 lbs potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
- 4–6 cloves garlic, peeled
- ½ cup butter (1 stick), room temperature
- ½–¾ cup milk or heavy cream, warmed
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
🔪 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep & Boil
- Peel (optional) and cut potatoes into evenly sized chunks.
- Place potatoes and garlic cloves in a large pot.
- Cover with cold water, add 1 tsp salt, and bring to a boil.
- Simmer 15–20 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender.
2️⃣ Drain & Mash
- Drain water and return potatoes and garlic to the pot.
- Mash using a potato masher, ricer, or electric hand mixer.
3️⃣ Add Butter & Cream
- Stir in butter until melted.
- Gradually add warm milk or cream until desired consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4️⃣ Serve
- Transfer to a serving dish.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or a pat of butter.
