Pecan pie bars

Posted on February 25, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious and easier-to-make version of pecan pie bars—all the rich, nutty flavor of a pecan pie in a convenient, sliceable bar form.

🥧 Pecan Pie Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 1 ½ cups (180 g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt

For the filling:

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup (120 ml) corn syrup or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups (150 g) chopped pecans

🍽️ Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the crust: Mix flour, sugar, salt, and butter until crumbly. Press evenly into the bottom of the pan. Bake 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. Prepare filling: In a bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans.
  4. Bake: Pour filling over the baked crust and spread evenly. Bake 25–30 minutes until the filling is set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  5. Cool & slice: Let cool completely before slicing into bars. Optionally chill in the fridge for easier cutting.

🌟 Tips & Variations

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or a splash of bourbon to the filling.
  • Use a mix of pecans and walnuts for a nutty twist.
  • Drizzle with chocolate or caramel for a decadent finish.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for dessert bars.

If you want, I can also give a quick 20-minute no-bake pecan pie bars version that’s chewy and caramel-y without using the oven.

Do you want me to do that?
