Here’s a classic garlic bread recipe — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with buttery garlic flavor. Perfect as a side for pasta, soup, or just on its own!


🧄 Classic Garlic Bread

🍞 Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread, halved lengthwise

  • ½ cup (1 stick / 115 g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced or pressed

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (or 1 tsp dried)

  • ¼ teaspoon salt (optional, to taste)

  • Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese or shredded mozzarella


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).

  2. Make garlic butter:
    In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.
    (Add cheese here if using for cheesy garlic bread.)

  3. Spread:
    Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

  4. Bake:
    Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, buttered side up.
    Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden and butter is melted.

  5. Optional broil:
    For a crispier top, broil for 1–2 minutes — but watch closely to prevent burning.

  6. Serve:
    Slice and serve warm. Best enjoyed fresh!


🧀 Variations:

  • Cheesy garlic bread: Add mozzarella or a mix of Italian cheeses before baking.

  • Herb twist: Add basil, oregano, or thyme to the butter mix.

  • Garlic knots: Use pizza dough, tie into knots, brush with garlic butter, and bake.
