Fried Lemon Pepper Salmon Sticks

🍋 Fried Lemon Pepper Salmon Sticks

Crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside — packed with bright lemon flavor and perfect for dipping.


🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon (skin removed)
  • 1½ tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust if seasoning already salted)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

🔪 Prep the Salmon

  1. Pat salmon dry.
  2. Cut into thick strips (about 1-inch wide).
  3. Toss gently with lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and salt.

🍳 Breading Station

Set up three bowls:
1️⃣ Flour
2️⃣ Beaten eggs
3️⃣ Panko breadcrumbs

Dip each salmon stick:

  • Coat in flour
  • Dip in egg
  • Press into panko

🔥 Frying

  1. Heat 1–2 inches of oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry in batches 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  4. Drain on paper towels or a wire rack.

🥣 Dipping Sauce Ideas

  • Garlic aioli
  • Honey mustard
  • Lemon dill yogurt sauce
  • Spicy sriracha mayo

💡 Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan — oil temperature will drop.
  • For extra crunch, double-dip in egg and panko.
  • If salmon is very moist, pat dry again before breading.
