Crockpot cheesy chicken

Here’s a simple and comforting Crockpot Cheesy Chicken recipe—creamy, cheesy, and perfect for a set-it-and-forget-it dinner.


🍗 Crockpot Cheesy Chicken

Serves: 4–6

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 cup cooked rice or pasta for serving
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the chicken
    • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
    • Place in the crockpot.
  2. Mix the sauce
    • In a bowl, combine cream of chicken soup and sour cream.
    • Pour over the chicken in the crockpot.
  3. Cook
    • Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender.
  4. Add cheese
    • About 15–20 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheese over the chicken.
    • Cover again to melt the cheese.
  5. Serve
    • Serve chicken with the creamy sauce over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
    • Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired.

✅ Tips

  • For extra flavor, add 1 tsp paprika or 1/2 tsp cayenne to the seasoning.
  • Use frozen chicken breasts if in a hurry; just increase cooking time slightly.
  • For a lower-carb version, serve over cauliflower rice instead of regular rice or pasta.
  • Leftovers store well in the fridge for 3–4 days and reheat gently.
