Cranberry bread

Here’s a simple and delicious cranberry bread recipe you can make at home 🍞🍒

🍞 Cranberry Bread

🧾 Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange zest (optional but recommended)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ cups fresh or dried cranberries
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (optional – walnuts or pecans)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk orange juice, egg, melted butter/oil, and orange zest.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed (don’t overmix).
  5. Fold in cranberries and nuts.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool for 10–15 minutes, then remove from the pan and slice.

✨ Optional Sweet Glaze

Mix:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tbsp orange juice

Drizzle over the cooled bread for extra flavor.

✅ Great for breakfast, tea time, or a light dessert.
