A comforting slow-cooker meal made with juicy beef patties simmered in a rich mushroom gravy.

🧾 Ingredients

For the Steak Patties

  • 500 g ground beef
  • Β½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Β½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

For the Mushroom Gravy

  • 2 cups mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour or cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Β½ tsp black pepper

1️⃣ Make the Patties

  • In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Shape into oval patties.

2️⃣ Brown the Patties (Optional but Recommended)

  • Heat a pan and quickly brown both sides of the patties for 2–3 minutes.
  • This adds extra flavor.

3️⃣ Prepare the Crockpot

  • Place sliced onions and mushrooms in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Put the patties on top.

4️⃣ Make the Gravy

  • In a bowl, whisk beef broth, flour (or cornstarch), soy sauce, garlic powder, and pepper.
  • Pour over the patties.

5️⃣ Slow Cook

  • Low: 6–7 hours
  • High: 3–4 hours

The gravy will thicken and the patties become tender.
