🍗 Chicken Fritters (Crispy Chicken Pakoras)

Chicken fritters are crispy, flavorful bites made by coating small chicken pieces in a spiced batter and deep-frying them. They’re popular as a snack, appetizer, or tea-time dish.

🧾 Ingredients

  • 250 g boneless chicken (cut into small cubes or minced)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1–2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • Oil for deep frying

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare chicken:
Place the chicken pieces or minced chicken in a mixing bowl.
  2. Make the batter:
Add onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, egg, gram flour, all-purpose flour, spices, salt, and coriander. Mix well until a thick batter forms.
  3. Heat oil:
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry fritters:
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil.
  5. Cook until golden:
Fry for about 4–5 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. Drain:
Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

🍽️ Serving Suggestions

  • Serve hot with ketchup, chili garlic sauce, or mint chutney.
  • Great with tea or as a Ramadan snack.
