Creamy Seafood Salad

Seafood Salad is a cold dish made with mixed seafood and a creamy dressing, often served as an appetizer, light lunch, or side dish. It’s popular in Mediterranean, American, and Asian cuisines.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 cup cooked Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cooked Crab meat or imitation crab
  • ½ cup cooked Scallops (optional)
  • ½ cup diced Celery
  • ½ cup diced Red Bell Pepper
  • ¼ cup chopped Red Onion
  • ½–¾ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: fresh dill, parsley, or paprika

Instructions

  1. Prepare seafood: Boil or steam shrimp, crab, and scallops until cooked. Let them cool.
  2. Mix vegetables: In a large bowl, combine celery, bell pepper, and onion.
  3. Combine salad: Add cooled seafood to the vegetables.
  4. Add dressing: Mix mayonnaise and lemon juice, then toss gently with the seafood mixture.
  5. Season: Add salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving for flavors to meld.
  7. Serve on a bed of lettuce, with crackers, or in sandwich wraps.

Tips & Variations

  • Healthier version: Replace mayonnaise with Greek yogurt or a mix of yogurt and light mayo.
  • Add fruits: Chopped apples or grapes add a sweet crunch.
  • Spicy twist: Add a dash of hot sauce or paprika.
  • Seafood mix: Use your favorite seafood combination—octopus, mussels, or smoked salmon work well.

💡 Serving Idea: Creamy seafood salad pairs perfectly with fresh bread, tortilla wraps, or a light green salad for a refreshing meal.

If you want, I can also make a one-spice brain-friendly version of creamy seafood salad using turmeric or ginger for added health benefits.
