Here’s a creamy, comforting Slow Cooker Rice Pudding recipe — rich, gently sweet, and incredibly easy 🍚🥛


🍮 Slow Cooker Rice Pudding

(Serves 6)

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup uncooked white rice (short or medium grain works best)
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup raisins (optional)

1️⃣ Combine Ingredients

Add rice, milk, sugar, salt, cinnamon (if using), and butter to the slow cooker. Stir well.

2️⃣ Cook

  • Low: 2½–3 hours
  • Stir every 45–60 minutes if possible to prevent sticking.

3️⃣ Finish

  • When rice is tender and pudding is creamy, stir in vanilla and raisins.
  • If too thick, add a splash of warm milk and stir.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Serve warm, or chill for 2–3 hours for a thicker, cold version.
  • Sprinkle with extra cinnamon before serving.

✨ Tips

  • For extra richness, replace 1 cup of milk with heavy cream.
  • Add lemon zest for brightness.
  • For a custard-style version, stir in 1 beaten egg during the last 30 minutes of cooking (cook until fully set).
