Cooking Method

  1. Prepare the ingredients:
    • Place chicken in the slow cooker
    • Add onion, garlic, and any optional vegetables
  2. Make the gravy:
    • Mix cream of chicken soup with chicken broth and seasonings
    • Pour over chicken
  3. Cook:
    • Low: 6–7 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
    • Chicken should be tender and easy to shred
  4. Thicken the gravy (optional):
    • Remove chicken and stir cornstarch or flour slurry into the liquid
    • Cook on high 10–15 minutes until thickened
  5. Serve:
    • Slice or shred chicken, pour gravy over it
    • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits
