🍲 Crock Pot Chicken and Noodles

Crock Pot Chicken and Noodles is a comforting, creamy slow-cooked dish made with tender shredded chicken and soft egg noodles. It’s perfect for an easy family dinner.


🥘 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1½–2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (optional)
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz each) cream of chicken soup
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried thyme (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 12 oz egg noodles (frozen or dried)
  • 2 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Add to Crock Pot:
    Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Add onion, cream of chicken soup, broth, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir gently.
  2. Cook:
    • Low: 6–7 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
      Cook until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  3. Shred Chicken:
    Remove chicken, shred with two forks, and return to the crock pot.
  4. Add Noodles:
    Stir in egg noodles and butter (if using).

    • Cook on High for 30–45 minutes (stir occasionally) until noodles are tender.
  5. Serve:
    Adjust seasoning if needed and serve warm.

💡 Tips

  • For a thicker dish, reduce broth slightly or let it cook uncovered for the last 20 minutes.
  • Add carrots and celery for a chicken pot pie-style flavor.
  • Stir in a splash of heavy cream at the end for extra richness.
  • Leftovers thicken as they sit — add a little broth when reheating.
