Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

Instructions

  3. Add garlic: Stir in garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Brown the beef: Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until no pink remains (~7–10 min).
  5. Season: Sprinkle in paprika, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat evenly.
  6. Optional flavor boost: Add a splash of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce for umami.
  7. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve over rice, pasta, or in tortillas.
