Yum! 😍 Crescent Donuts are the easiest way to make warm, fluffy, golden donuts with minimal effort β€” thanks to store-bought crescent roll dough. They’re soft inside, crispy outside, and can be coated in cinnamon sugar, glazed, or filled. No yeast, no fuss!


🍩 Easy Crescent Donuts (Fried or Air-Fried)

🍴 Makes: 8 donuts (plus holes)

⏱ Total Time: 20 minutes

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (like Pillsbury, 8-count)

  • Vegetable oil for frying (or use an air fryer)

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1–2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Optional Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1–2 tbsp milk

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


🍳 Instructions (Fried Version):

  1. Separate the dough:

    • Unroll crescent dough and press perforations together to make a single sheet.

    • Use a round biscuit cutter or glass to cut out donut shapes.

    • Use a smaller cutter or bottle cap to make the holes.

  2. Heat the oil:

    • Fill a deep skillet or pot with about 1.5 inches of oil.

    • Heat to 350Β°F (175Β°C) β€” test with a thermometer or a small dough piece (should sizzle gently).

  3. Fry the donuts:

    • Fry donuts 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

    • Fry donut holes for about 30–45 seconds per side.

    • Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

    • Toss in cinnamon sugar OR dip in glaze and let set on a cooling rack.
