Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken:
    • Pat chicken breasts dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Cook the chicken:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add chicken breasts and sear for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and almost cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the garlic cream sauce:
    • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30–45 seconds until fragrant.
    • Reduce heat to low and stir in softened cream cheese and chicken broth.
    • Stir constantly until the cream cheese melts and forms a smooth sauce. Season with a little extra salt and pepper if needed.
  4. Combine chicken and sauce:
    • Return chicken to the skillet, spooning some sauce over the top.
    • Cover and simmer for 5–7 minutes until chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is creamy and thickened.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped parsley or chives.
    • Serve over rice, pasta, or with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, add 1/4 cup grated Parmesan to the cream cheese mixture.
  • You can also include spinach or sun-dried tomatoes in the sauce for a colorful, tasty twist.
  • If the sauce is too thick, thin it with a splash of milk or extra chicken broth.
