🥖 Breadsticks (Soft & Buttery)

🛒 Ingredients
- 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Garlic Butter Topping:
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional)
- Fresh parsley (optional)
🔪 Instructions
1️⃣ Activate Yeast
In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
2️⃣ Make the Dough
Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
3️⃣ Rise
Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour (until doubled).
4️⃣ Shape
Roll dough into a rectangle and cut into 12 strips.
Gently roll each into a breadstick shape.
5️⃣ Second Rise
Place on a lined baking sheet. Cover and rest 20–30 minutes.
6️⃣ Bake
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
7️⃣ Finish
Brush immediately with garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with Parmesan.

- For extra softness, brush with butter again after 5 minutes.
