Cabbage and Chicken

Here’s a simple and delicious way to combine cabbage and chicken into a meal:


Stir-Fried Cabbage and Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken breast or thighs, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 medium cabbage, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté garlic and onion in the same pan until fragrant.
  4. Add cabbage and stir-fry for 5–7 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  5. Return chicken to the pan, add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

💡 Tip: Add a pinch of chili flakes or fresh ginger for extra flavor, or toss in some sliced bell peppers or carrots for color.
