Sugar cubes

Here’s a simple way to make homemade sugar cubes at home—no special equipment needed:


🍬 Basic Sugar Cubes Recipe

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1–2 teaspoons water

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Mix
    Put the sugar in a bowl and sprinkle in water slowly. Mix until it feels like slightly damp sand (not wet or dissolved).
  2. Mold
    Press the mixture firmly into:

    • Ice cube trays
    • Silicone molds
    • Or spread in a tray and press flat (you can cut later)
  3. Pack tightly
    Press hard so the cubes hold their shape.
  4. Dry
    Let them sit at room temperature for 12–24 hours, or until completely dry and hard.
  5. Remove & store
    Pop them out and store in an airtight container.

✨ Optional variations

  • Flavored cubes: add a drop of vanilla, rose water, or orange extract
  • Colored cubes: mix in a tiny bit of food coloring
  • Brown sugar cubes: use brown sugar (press extra firmly)

☕ Tips

  • Don’t add too much water or they’ll melt instead of hold shape
  • Silicone molds work best for clean shapes
  • Perfect for tea, coffee, or gifts 🎁
